The Rising
In 2012 the first short run of The Rising was released through Fugi.Me
This piece is showing that monsters are all around us. The clear base was used to show that they can appear in the most unlikely of places, literally any surface can erupt with a break out. It is more a commentary about the world around us being a strange and confusing place rather than literal monsters jumping out of the ground to attach us. Let’s face it how well do we know our neighbours, what kind of monsters could they be?
The first release consisted of 10 pastle green with a clear base and 10 neon pink with a gloss black base. There were 2 randomly packed chases in each colourway that had a boney missing finger.
Each piece was packed with 2 "B movie poster" postcards.
Later that year a second short run of The Rising was released again through Fugi.Me
The second release consisted of 10 pastle blue with a clear base and 10 neon green with a gloss black base. There were 2 randomly packed chases in each colourway that had a boney missing finger.
Each piece was packed with 2 "B movie poster" postcards.
In 2013 a third run of The Rising was released this time at the first Toycon UK event in london
This release contained 6 bright purple hands with a gloss black base each one had the boney missing finger.
